Therapy!

Today both my kids laid down for naps at the same time and took 2 hour naps, thank goodness. After the weekend we had I really needed time to myself for my sanity. But I did it to myself, I should have known better. Friday night we went over to my cousins to play cards and the kids stayed up a wee too late. Needless to say Sissy was awnry and disagreeable all day Saturday and I was home alone with the kids. I was glad we all made it through the day. So today I got to making cards. I have two Boy Scouts turning 12 and leaving our pack in December and one that will be turning 11 and coming into our pack. So here is what I got done, I am not sure about the brads in the middle of the stars, but I poked one hole and could not waste the card.

Cards for all occasions!

The Saturday after New Year's I am going to be having a card workshop. We will be making cards for all occasions. I have decided that I need to have an inventory of cards so when I need one I will already have one. So this is what the workshop will entail. We will make all occasion cards so you will have cards for events in the year to come. Stay tuned to more details. I will be posting pics and the costs later. I am finally finished with Sissy's dress. I think I have taken on a little too much trying to sew three dresses. Hopefully the next dress I am going to start tonight is a little easier. It doesn't have sleeves or is as fancy as the first. The last dress is like the first but purple and a variation on the same pattern. I think I should start doing at least one sewing project a month just to polish up my sewing abilities. MMMMM, sounds good, maybe I will make that happen. Here are the picks of the finished product.

Family Blog

So I started this blog thinking I would use it for my scrapbooking and other crafty things I do. I then went and put family stories on it. In the sake of safety, privacy and security, I have decided that from now on this will be a craft blog. I am going to be starting our own family blog. So stay tuned for the upcoming family blog and look for some changes in this blog, like names. Progress Report

Today while Bud was taking a nap I had some time to spend on Sissy's dress. So this is what I have done so far. Maybe I will have it finished before next Sunday.


But all was not perfect. I didn't mark the elastic line on one of the sleeves correctly, so I messed up. I was to lazy to rip the sewing apart and do it over, but the good thing is it is under the sleeve so no one will notice, hopefully.
